"I was truly amazed by Robert's passion and enthusiasm for my show. He demonstrated a deep knowledge of the topic, and not only facts and details. He obviously has a real emotional investment as well, and it makes for a great interview. Robert is a perfect blend of expert and fan."

Robert Reid is truly an amazing man. His interviewing style is like non other.  I've worked in the PR world long enough to have heard it all and the passion and integrety that Robert brings to the table is very rare. All of my clients that Robert has had on his show LOVED the experience and felt like they had made a life long freind too.

A couple of months ago a man named Robert Reid asked me if I would let him interview me for his podcast. To be honest, I didn't know much about podcasts, since I tend to be technologically challenged. But it sounded like it would be fun. It was fun, but it was so much more. In fact it was one of the best interviews I've ever had, and believe me, I've given a lot of interviews in my career. Robert doesn't do a traditional interview, he has a conversation with you -- a sensitive, incredibly intelligent converstion in which he really tries to get to know you. And he does. And so does his audience. That's his genius. There are no gotcha questions, so you open up because you know you're safe. That's the other thing about Robert, he's so positive and supportive, that he gets the best from you. I did Oprah Winfrey's show in the early days when she was in Chicago, and Robert's podcast reminds me a lot of that experience. He has the same ability to connect with his subjects and his listeners. I now count Robert as one of my friends which is another gift I got from doing his podcast. I hope his reputation grows and more and more people listen to him. He has a voice we need in this world of ours.

I recently had the opportunity to do a couple of podcasts with Robert.  It was a joy!  I was very impressed by his vast scope of knowledge of all of daytime television, not just the soaps, but game shows as well.    He had a thorough knowledge of Ryan's Hope history and cast changes.  But beyond a deep interest in the show, I also sensed a genuine love of the show, and a warmth around it.  The interview became a fond remembrance of some very sweet times.   We had a great time together.  I guess that's the secret of a successful interview!  Keep up the good work, Robert!

Robert Reid is an extraordinary host. He takes time to converse at length with the person interviewed before the show, which allows him to delve into the personal, more intimate side of the guest's life. That allows the interview to bridge the personal background of the guest with the issues engaged in during the interview. As such, the interview does not fall into safe but sterile comfort zone analyses; it is rather “no holds barred”.
